Accelerate is the 14th studio album by American alternative rock band R.E.M., released on March 31, 2008 in Europe, and on April 1 in North America. Produced with Jacknife Lee, Accelerate was intended as a departure from the 2004 album Around the Sun.[2] R.E.M. previewed several of the album's tracks during a five-night residency at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, and recorded the album in a nine-week schedule.
The album was heralded as a return to form for the band, receiving a warm reception from music critics and achieving a 79/100 rating on Metacritic. Reviewers often complimented the aggressive, purposeful sound of the songs, with Q magazine critic Keith Cameron stating that "Accelerate is the sound of a band having enjoyed a good word with themselves—and us."

The Works is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 27 February 1984 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Capitol Records in the United States. After the synth-heavy Hot Space (1982), the album saw the re-emergence of Brian May and Roger Taylor's rock sound, while still incorporating the early 80s retro futuristic electronic music (Freddie Mercury) and New York funk scenes (John Deacon). Recorded at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California and Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany from August 1983 to January 1984, the album's title comes from a comment Taylor made as recording began – "Let's give them the works!" During the decade, after a negative reaction against and ban of the music video for "I Want to Break Free" in the United States, the band decided not to tour in North America and lost the top spot in U.S. sales, but sales around the world (especially Europe) would be even better. The Works has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.

The Miracle is the thirteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 22 May 1989 by Capitol Records in the US, it is the band's first studio album to be released by Parlophone Records in the UK. The album was recorded as the band recovered from Brian May's marital problems and Freddie Mercury's AIDS diagnosis in 1987 (which was known to the band, though not publicised at the time). Recording started in January 1988 and lasted for an entire year. The album was originally going to be called The Invisible Men, but three weeks before the release, according to Roger Taylor, they decided to change the name to The Miracle. It was also the last Queen album with a band photo on the front cover.

Innuendo is the fourteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 5 February 1991 by Parlophone in the United Kingdom and it is the band's first studio album to be released by Hollywood Records in the United States. Produced by David Richards and the band, it was the band's last album to be released in lead singer Freddie Mercury’s lifetime, and their most recent one to be composed of entirely new material. It reached the No. 1 spot on the UK album charts and stayed at that position for two weeks, and also peaked at No. 1 in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, staying at No. 1 for three weeks, four weeks, six weeks, and eight weeks, respectively. It was the first Queen album to go Gold in the US upon its release since The Works in 1984.

There was no universal track listing or cover art for the Greatest Hits album, and each territory's tracks were dependent on what singles were released there and what tracks charted. In some cases, despite the band's popularity, not enough songs were issued as singles to fill a compilation album, and a few album tracks were used as filler. Some examples of these were "Sweet Lady" and "Love of My Life", neither was released as a single in any country, but appear on some regions' 1981 Hits release. In the UK and the US, where solid numbers could be collected, the album included only top 20 hits.

It was nominated for the 1994 Mercury Music Prize, but lost out to Elegant Slumming by M People. In 1998, Q magazine readers voted it the 70th greatest album of all time, while the Virgin All-Time Top 1000 Albums placed it 110th.

Fear of a Black Planet is the third studio album by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released on April 10, 1990, by Def Jam Recordings and Columbia Records. It was produced by the group's production team The Bomb Squad, who sought to expand on the dense, sample-layered sound of Public Enemy's previous album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988). Having fulfilled their initial creative ambitions with that album, Public Enemy pursued a different direction and aspired to create what lead MC Chuck D specified as "a deep, complex album". Their songwriting was partly inspired by the controversy with member Professor Griff and his dismissal from the group in 1989.

Настроение альбома - меланхолично-отрешенное, можно даже сказать, романтическое. В некоторых моментах заметны всплески ярости, но превалирует все-таки грустная атмосфера. Создается ощущение, что музыканты устали играть что-то резкое и жесткое, и решили написать-таки альбом для души. Для души в их понимании, естественно.Вокалист, как всегда на высоте, его приятный баритон как нельзя лучше подходит для музыки группы. Музыканты тоже молодцы, не растеряли былого мастерства.
"Darkness And Hope" получился приятным и зрелым альбомом, его можно порекомендовать любителям мелодичной гитарной музыки.

Первое, что стоит учесть всем, кто по каким-то причинам не был знаком с Saxon, что это – стопроцентный хэви-метал, сработанный по классическим стандартам и пропорциям, бескомпромиссный, напористый и в меру пафосный. Словом, именно то, чего следовало ожидать от одних из непосредственных законодателей NWOBHM.

В 1997 году Novembers Doom издали EP For Every Leaf That Falls, в который вошли три трека. Альбом был хорошо воспринят, в том числе благодаря благоприятным обзорам прессы. Novembers Doom с того времени издали Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers, на Martyr Music Group. Альбом был хорошо принят многочисленными рецензорами.

Один из лучших альбомов за историю существования группы Kiss. Название, правда, не однозначное «Lick It Up» («Оближи это»). В силу своих жизненных принципов предпочитаю иметь в виду мороженое, от вкушения которого получаешь удовольствие. И действительно от прослушивания этого альбома можно получить достаточно удовольствия. Здесь можно услышать и прикольно-рок'н'ролльные мотивы, и более тяжелые нотки и даже есть композиция с наличием некоторого рэперского саунда. Особенно хочется выделить вокалиста с его интересными и прикольными продолжительными завываниями практически в каждой песне. В целом все классно, проходных песен нет.

В музыкальном плане "Dominator" тоже тесно связан с "Dying for the World", и для меня лично, наверное, навсегда останется в тени предшественника. Вокал, риффы, подача, саунд... К тому же, ещё и последний стал капельку помягче, хотя сами ритм-гитарные пассажи излишних нежностей не предлагают, зато изрядно теряют из-за этого в "низах". ... Потому и три последних на текущий момент релиза W.A.S.P. - все примерно об одном и том же, пускай и с несколько отличающимися итоговыми результатами.
