In Utero was a major commercial and critical success. Critics praised the change in sound and Cobain's lyrics. It reached number one on the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart; "Heart-Shaped Box" and "All Apologies" reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The album is certified five-times platinum and has sold 15 million copies.

La mayor parte de las sesiones de grabación tuvieron lugar en el estudio Reciprocal Recording de Seattle, Washington entre diciembre de 1988 y enero de 1989. El compositor de Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, se sentía presionado al crear canciones para Bleach que estuvieran dentro del género del grunge, impulsado por esta discográfica y la escena musical de Seattle. Seesaw is a cover album recorded by American singer Beth Hart and blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, their second. It follows their 2011 successful initial cover album together titled Don't Explain.

Watermark is the second studio album from the Irish musician Enya, released in September 1988 on WEA Records. Following her first album, Enya (1987), produced for the BBC documentary The Celts, Enya signed with WEA, giving her complete artistic freedom on a follow up with no interference from the label. Watermark displays Enya's distinct sound of layered vocals, keyboard sounds, and elements of Celtic music. The album is seen by some as a seminal example of new-age music, though Enya does not consider her music to be of the genre.
