Funky Dory is the solo debut album by English pop–dance singer Rachel Stevens. It was released by Polydor Records on 29 September 2003 in the United Kingdom. The album was produced by various record producers including Bloodshy & Avant and Richard X.
It received a positive reception from music critics, some of whom complimented its surprising diversity, charm and relative depth, while others thought of it to be poorly written, produced and forgettable. Despite critical commentary, it became Stevens' most successful album release, and reached number nine in the United Kingdom, where it was certified gold. On 16 July 2004 the album was re-issued in the United Kingdom, including three new songs, and reached number thirteen on the albums chart. Funky Dory was released in Canada on 16 March 2004; however, it failed to generate much interest outside of the United Kingdom.

It was released on February 2, 2004, and was supported by the French top five hit "Toujours pas d'amour", followed by the singles "Toi c'est moi" and "Jalousie" which achieved a moderate success in comparison. Une fille comme moi is Priscilla's most successful album, reaching the top ten in France.

Protest Songs is the fourth album by English pop band Prefab Sprout (though the third recorded). It was recorded in 1985, but was not released until 1989; it's not clear whether, at the time of recording, the band had intended it as the main follow-up to their breakthrough album Steve McQueen, released earlier in 1985. The back cover of Protest Songs positions the album as a stage in their musical evolution, offering a middle ground between the sound and songwriting of Steve McQueen and that of From Langley Park to Memphis. The album's promotion was low-key and no singles were released from it at the time (though "Life of Surprises" was issued as a single three years later to promote the group's greatest hits album).

Missundaztood (styled as M!ssundaztood) is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Pink. The album was released worldwide in late 2001 to global commercial and critical success, critics welcoming the new pop-rock sound Pink presented on the record, after an urban-influenced debut.

Can't Take Me Home is the debut album by singer P!nk, released in the United States on April 4, 2000 by LaFace Records. It produced three singles - "There You Go", "Most Girls", and "You Make Me Sick", and peaked at number twenty-six on the U.S. Billboard 200. Producers included Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, Babyface, Kandi Burruss, Terence "Tramp Baby" Abney, Daryl Simmons, and Tricky. Pink shared co-writing credit on seven of the album's tracks. This album featured a contemporary R&B sound; Pink went for a more pop-rock oriented sound on her follow-up albums. She later went on to admit that during the period of promoting this album she felt stifled, as it was not reflective of her true musical ambitions.

Please is the first album by English electronic music group Pet Shop Boys, released in 1986. According to the duo, the album's title was chosen so that people had to go into a record shop and say "Can I have the Pet Shop Boys album, 'Please'?". The album has sold around 3 million copies worldwide to date.

The Italian is the debut album of Italian baritone Patrizio Buanne. It was released in the United Kingdom on February 28, 2005, and in the United States on March 7, 2006.
The album is composed of romantic Italian tunes, influenced by the songs of Italian and Italian-American singers (such as Sergio Bruni and Frank Sinatra) that Buanne heard played as a youth in his father's Italian restaurant. Buanne strives to re-invent the classics of that era with this new album of traditional songs arranged in a fresh style and sung in both Italian and English.
The album has received gold in the UK, Austria and Finland, platinum in New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan, and even double platinum in South Africa and triple platinum in Australia. Spin is the first solo album released by ex-Savage Garden member Darren Hayes. The album was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge and produced by Walter Afanasieff. It was released in Australia in March 2002 and reached the rest of the world later that year. The album has sold over two million copies as of 2011.
