Thornbridge plays old school power metal following long prevailing peers, from native Germany and elsewhere across Europe. Think Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Running Wild among others. Their metal is classic heavy metal combined with speed metal, with nominal symphonic notes. Quick guitar and bass lines are powered by thundering and galloping drums. For the guitar side, Thornbridge leans heavily on twin guitar harmony, then has one guitarist rip of some fine and fiery solos. Riffs and solos are in abundance here. Vocals also lend to the harmony, often melodic and choral like effect, a common standard of traditional power metal. Yet vocalist Joerg "Mo" Naneder has a bit of raw raspy presentation in his voice.

After the release of their latest, highly-acclaimed studio record called »Heroes«, Swedish heavy metal heroes SABATON hit the charts in various countries on high positions, f.e. Sweden (#1), Finland (#2), Germany (#3). Their enthusiastic fans reveled them in many sold-out venues all over the world during their following tour, which is still under way. Their concerts in Wacken and at their hometown festival in Falun were big highlights of the "Heroes" tour so far. Therefore the band decided to record these shows for an upcoming live DVD/CD package called "Heroes On Tour".

Deceptive Bends is the fifth studio album released in 1977 by rock band 10cc.
The departure of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme in 1976 to form Godley & Creme almost ended 10cc. However Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman kept the group alive as a duo (with the assistance of percussionist Paul Burgess). The cover design was provided by Hipgnosis. The name of the album came from a road sign on the southbound A24 between Leatherhead and Dorking in Surrey; the sign is no longer there.

Немецкий power metal коллектив SINBREED, в составе которого вокалист распавшихся SEVENTH AVENUE Herbie Langhans и барабанщик BLIND GUARDIAN Frederik Ehmke, выпустили третий альбом на лэйбле AFM. Бурно прогрессирующая в последнее время группа закрепила успех предыдущего альбома «Shadows”, вышедшего в 2 года назад.
Простота музыки SINBREED может показаться большим минусом этой группы. Качественное переосмысление творчества разнообразных немецких power metal групп, начиная с HELLOWEEN и RAGE, давно уже не вызывает у слушателей былого восторга. С другой стороны, достаточно взглянуть на выходящие в настоящее время альбомы, чтобы понять, что евро-павера совсем не так много, как может показаться. А уж если обсуждать релизы крупных лэйблов, окажется, что только AFM предоставляет оставшимся поклонникам стиля поводы для радости. А уж в нашей стране немецкий power metal по-прежнему в фаворе, и желающих заценить SINBREED будет достаточно. «Master Creator” состоит из очень крепких трэков, включающих как тяжёлые боевики, так и мелодичные баллады. Естественно, назвать этот альбом, включающий в себя обширные наработки старших товарищей по стилю, шедевром язык не повернётся, но оставляет работа очень приятное впечатление.
Качественный, тяжёлый и разнообразный немецкий power metal. В прошлом веке группа стала бы легендарной в два счёта, в этом столетии большинство фэнов просто отдаст должное и проследует дальше.

Arcturus have indeed delivered an album that is up to the challenge of the times, only not so overtly. It's more of a culminative example of what has been perfected in the fields of progressive/somewhat symphonic black metal. It is more varied, both melodically, rhythmically and in timbre, that any of its predecessors. Also, while Hellhammer continues to be Hellhammer, there's a noticeable maturity and subtle change of style to the riffs and execution. One can only marvel, for example, at a man like Vortex, who, to allude to the proverbial wine, seems to be today at the top of his game, jumping from the harshest, most vitriolic shrieks he's ever uttered, with his now trademark playful and precise quasioperatic singing.

My Darkness, the first full-length album by Before The Dawn, was released 23 March 2003 via Locomotive Music and features the first continuous band line up: Tuomas – guitar and growls, Panu Willman – guitar & clean vocals, Mika Ojala – keyboards, drummer Dani Miettinen and bass player Toni Broman. "Unbreakable", "Take My Pain", "Undone" and "Alone" are the 4 songs from the previous unreleased EP, but the titular song received most of the attention and was also included in the "Dynamite" compilation #35 CD of German "Rock Hard" magazine. This track remains the "evergreen" in the Before The Dawn live repertoire to this day.
