"The Unity Of Two", the new album by Fuchs, is again a progressive rock concept album, this time telling the story of Aaron and Ray. Just like the book Narziss Und Goldmund, two characters from a book by the German author Herman Hesse, this story pulls at your heartstrings. It's dealing with friendship, devotion, the many layers of the human soul and different ways of life. The album mainly follows the life of Aaron, who's going out into the wide world while his friend Ray is staying at home. Later in life, both friends meet again realizing the things they have in common. It turns out that even though Aaron and Ray followed two completely different ways of life, they both have experienced true happiness and inspiration. This is called 'the unity of two.' In musical terms Fuchs has created his second album in a definitely more open and more varied style than on his debut album "Leaving Home".

Musically SHADOWBANE’s „Post Apocalyptic Power Metal“ is positioned between melodic US power metal und raw teutonic steel with dystopic lyrics. Definitely outgrown the demo sound, the mostly fast songs profit from a contemporary production – without leaving any doubt in the musical rootage within the power metal of the 80s and 90s. Besides the powerful yet melodic vocals the sound is dominated by two notable and equally shaping guitarists with a lot of thrashy riffs and harmonic melodies.

Italian band Unreal City, one of the rising stars in the progressive rock scene, has a new album titled Il paese del tramonto.

It’s hard to believe that German power metal band Mob Rules has been around long enough to be celebrating their 20th anniversary. Their debut album was released 15 years ago, but apparently they’ve been active a full two decades now. The band is celebrating in style with a deluxe 4-disc retrospective called Timekeeper – 20th Anniversary Box (3 CD and DVD).

Goin' Home, Kenny Wayne Shepherd's seventh studio album, is all about going home in more ways than one. Now well closer to 40 years old than he is 30, Shepherd isn't the hot kid electric guitar prodigy he once was, but an experienced player who has taken his considerable guitar skills all around the globe and back again, back home to Shreveport, Louisiana, to be exact, his hometown, and where this set was recorded.

In a Bar, Under the Sea is a 1996 album by Belgian band Deus. The cover art was designed by guitarist Rudy Trouvé. The original Belgian release was by Bang!, with the only difference that track 14 is simply named "Roses", like the single.
The album was produced by Eric Drew Feldman (who was keyboard and bass player for Captain Beefheart in the late seventies and early eighties) and welcomes guests such as Scott McCloud from Girls Against Boys (on Fell Off the Floor, Man), Dana Colley from Morphine (on Supermarketsong) and Bart Maris from X-Legged Sally (on Nine Threads).

The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale is an album by Eric Clapton & Friends and it is dedicated to his former collaborator JJ Cale. It was named after his 1972 single "Call Me the Breeze". It was produced by Clapton and Simon Climie.

Live...in the Heart of the City is a 1980 live album by British rock band Whitesnake. Originally released as a double-vinyl album, and double-play cassette, it utilises recordings made in 1978 and 1980. The album charted at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart, and number 146 on the Billboard 200.

Live from Texas is a live DVD/Blu-ray by ZZ Top. It was recorded on November 1, 2007, at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, and released on June 24, 2008, by Eagle Rock Records. It was also released on audio CD in Europe on October 28, 2008, and in the US on November 4, 2008. A vinyl version is also available in Europe.

In an age when heavy metal has been nearly subgenred to death, it’s refreshing as hell to hear a young band playing straight-up metal with no narrow- minded qualifiers or categories in earshot. On their full-length debut, Salt Lake City’s Visigoth deliver the real-deal old-school goods with power and swagger to spare, invoking the likes of early Dio (“Dungeon Master”), Di’ Anno-era Iron Maiden (“Blood Sacrifice”), and maybe even a touch of Riot (“Creature of Desire”). The nearly 10-minute closer “From the Arcane Mists of Prophecy” should make even the most jaded of headbangers raise their fists and yell.
