Собственная концертная группа Ари Койвунена была сформирована весной 2007 года и дала первый концерт в мае того же года. За первый год группа отыграла более 100 выступлений. В конце 2007 года Ari Koivunen завершил свое финское турне и присоединился к туру «Raskasta Joulua» (Heavy Christmas).
В июне 2008 года группа выпускает свой второй альбом - «Becoming». Основная часть материала альбома была подготовлена группой. Альбом вновь оказался на первом месте по числу продаж и достиг «золотого» статуса (более 15 тыс. копий) в первую неделю. «Becoming» был также выпущен для Японии (25 июня 2008 года) и Германии (10 октября 2008 года). Toundra, a four piece post-rock outfit from Madrid, are gearing up for the release of their fourth album, numerically and pleasingly titled IV. The album is available exclusively to stream below via The Independent. IV tells the story of two foxes that need to escape from the forest where they live as a huge fire ravages their home. This story serves as a metaphor for humanity destroying the environment and ties in with the artwork and videos, evoking a strong sense of the concept despite the music being entirely instrumental.

Over the past 20 years, tribute albums have become so common that it’s nearly impossible to find a new way to honor an act. However, the ‘The Many Faces of Black Sabbath,’ which will be released in the U.K. on Nov. 3, takes a unique approach. As Brave Words notes, the set spreads out 42 songs over three CDs, with each disc having a separate theme. The first, ‘The Players (and More),’ features mostly projects that have involved past and present members of Black Sabbath. This includes Dave Mustaine‘s cover of Alice Cooper‘s ‘School’s Out,’ which had Eric Singer and Bob Daisley. The disc is filled out with a few version of Sabbath songs, such as Vince Neil‘s take on ‘Paranoid.’

If you were a fan of the bands EP … you can stop reading now. Get the album. It both builds and improves on the EP. If you were not a fan, then consider revisiting the album as the weaker songs on the EP (Unify) are the poorer ones on an album which, generally, is packed with AOR done with both aplomb and near perfection. Finally, if you’ve never heard of them (as I presume a lot of you wont) then this is a band who stylistically share musical DNA with those bands pushing contemporary AOR into the spotlight like WET, Work of Art or early-HEAT (yup.. All Swedish!) all of whom, themselves, are hugely influenced by the kings of the genre like Toto, Journey and Winger.

Dio's first concept album. Being that this was released in 1999 that fact in itself is surprising enough since Dio has always been fascinated with epic tales of "good vs evil" and medieval, mythical times. Even though they may seem like it Dio's first three albums ("Holy Diver", "The Last In Line", "Sacred Heart") were not truly concept albums. They seem as such because of the similar "dragons, witches, sages, demons, ancient times" themes but, upon closer inspection they are really motivational and cautionary songs delivered with imaginary settings. Also, each of those albums had it's share of straight forward songs that didn't use ambiguous lyrics or cryptic messages.

New solo album Vervain being the fifteenth full length album to date. It’s fitting then that in the twentieth year of her career she’s dropped the bland saccharine pop sound of her last effort, 2012’s Libertine and instead pulls together all the different music styles she’s performed to date into one album. It’s not just a great fusion of all the elements of her music throughout the years together in one release – its also her best solo album to date.
