Jimi Plays Monterey is a posthumous live album by Jimi Hendrix released in February 1986. The album documents The Jimi Hendrix Experience's performance at the Monterey Pop Festival on June 18, 1967. As well as songs from the band's debut album Are You Experienced, Monterey also includes covers of "Killing Floor" (Howlin' Wolf), "Like a Rolling Stone" (Bob Dylan), "Rock Me Baby" (B. B. King) and "Wild Thing" (Chip Taylor). The version of "Wild Thing" on the album is one of the most notable live performances ever, as, in an iconic moment in rock history, he sets his guitar alight after the song and then smashes it.

This two-CD, 51-song set covers virtually everything the group recorded with Steve Winwood in the lineup from 1964-1967. The gap between the band's best and worst material was considerable; quite a few of their R&B covers are surprisingly routine, and the occasional cuts that don't have Winwood on lead vocals are downright pedestrian. Because of this inconsistency, the general fan's better off with the Rhino best-of, if it can be found. If you want to get more, though, this is the first and last place to go, with all the hit singles, everything from their three albums, an early EP, some B-sides, and a couple of previously unissued tracks. And some of the obscure material is really good, whether in a straight R&B/blues or more soulful vein. Be aware that the version of "Gimme Some Lovin'" here is the less dynamic, original British mix, minus some backup vocals and percussion.

Grand Tour is a progressive rock project from Scotland which features Hew Montgomery (formerly keyboard player with Glasgow’s Abel Ganz), current Comedy Of Errors men Joe Cairney on vocals and Bruce Levick on drums, and former Errors guitarist Mark Spalding. Hew also plays bass on the project’s first album, "Heavy on the Beach" which was released on February 2nd 2015.

The foundation for Light Damage was laid in Luxembourg in 2005, after a yearly festival, ?Spirit of ?66?, where drummer Sébastien and guitarist Stephane Lecocq got to know each other. They joined up with singer/guitarist Nicholas-John and bass player Fréderik Hardy. After some changes in line up and 7 years of playing coves and now material at festivals and in rehearsal rooms, Thibaut Grappin became the bands drummer (replacing founder Sebastien) and Sébastien Perignon took care of the keyboards.
