Японские хард-рокеры со своим единственным альбомом. Открывает его монстроидная Grease It Out с типично саббатовским риффом и вокальной манерой (но не собственно голосом) “под Планта”. Очень забавна вторая композиция – Love That Binds Me – вольное переложение Since I've Been Loving You (начинающееся со слов “Working from early in the morning Till late at night everyday...” Smile) с примерно той же мелодией и теми же фишками. Впрочем, за исключением этого курьеза остальной материал вполне себе неплох – и ударные номера (Love Is You и Gonna Take You), и пауэр-баллады (Reminiscence и I Shall Be Released). Хороша завершающая альбом лиричная симфо-проговая 12-минутная Song For My Lady (Now I Found) с флейтой, акустикой и меллотроном.

A Beard of Stars was the act's first album with Marc Bolan's new musical partner Mickey Finn and featured Bolan on vocals, guitar, organ and bass and Finn on percussion. It was notable for being the first album on which Bolan used electric guitar, although that instrument had first appeared on the band's 1969 single "King of the Rumbling Spires"/"Do You Remember". According to Mark Deming of AllMusic, A Beard of Stars "was the turning point where Marc Bolan began evolving from an unrepentant hippie into the full-on swaggering rock star he would be within a couple of years, though for those not familiar with his previous work, it still sounds like the work of a man with his mind plugged into the age of lysergic enchantment."

It's been over 30 years since the painted performers dropped their debut self-titled record on the World. That record was a pure blend of Beatles inspired rock mixed with a style all their own. Several albums have come out over the past few years paying tribute to bands like Def Leppard, the Scorpions, Guns N'Roses, Twisted Sister, and Bon Jovi.

Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock is a band that delivers flawlessly and with understated genius. Lest I wax hyperbole, I will simply say Spirit on a Mission is a monster rock and roll record created by masters of the genre.

The third studio album by Jonathan Jeremiah is a great singer / songwriter album with a lot of soul!
"Oh Desire", the new album from London singer / songwriter Jonathan Jeremiah, begins with fanatical guitars, spine-tingling strings, melodies that seem like woven and ends with the feeling of complete satisfaction. He takes us on a journey through the genres of soul, folk and country and makes us feel emotional worlds of love, loss and despair. But in the end is the desire, desire, just "Oh Desire". The power of music, this desire to communicate through it, it enabled the single-minded musicians to evolve musically and personally. Certainly one of the most exciting singer / songwriter albums of the year.

Lonely Robot is not a band so much as a project, a project conceived and helmed by veteran guitarist and singer/songwriter John Mitchell. Mitchell is probably best known these days as long serving guitarist for British progressive rockers Arena and for replacing previous front man Francis Dunnery in much-loved 1980s progressive rock legends It Bites, who returned to active duty in recent years following a lengthy hiatus. Mitchell has also enjoyed time as a collaborator in progressive rock supergroups Frost* and Kino, and has made numerous guest appearances with other bands, notably the Milton Keynes-based Touchstone, who he has also produced. In short, Mitchell is a bit of a renaissance man, equally at home on both sides of the studio wall and with a sizeable list of credits as a songwriter, producer and performer. Mitchell sings for the first time on the album here; for those who haven’t heard latter-day It Bites or Mitchell’s earlier work with The Urbane, it may come as a surprise that he is a very capable vocalist, his gritty voice recalling the likes of Ray Wilson and latter-day Peter Gabriel.

English gentleman and Vocal legend Tony Mills (exTNT/ex SIAM/ex SHY) has just releasing the pinnacle album of his Metal career entitled “Over My Dead Body” inspired by his new conscience, a vision stroke reached after his Heart attack and his near death experience in Oslo Airport in 2010.
