Альбом записывался в 1971-1972 годах на De Lane Lea Studios и Trident Studios в сотрудничестве с продюсерами Джоном Энтони и Роем Томасом Бэйкером. В нём присутствует множество разных стилей: рок-музыка («Bicycle Race» и «Don’t Stop Me Now»), фанк-рок («Fun It»), хард-рок («Dead on Time», «If You Can’t Beat Them», «Fat Bottomed Girls», «Mustapha» и «More Of That Jazz»), близкая к хеви-металу «Let Me Entertain You» и стандартная лирическая баллада Джона Дикона - на этот раз она называется «In Only Seven Days». В альбоме «Jazz» нет джазовых песен, если не относить к таковым «Dreamer’s Ball», посвящённую умершему за год до этого Элвису Пресли.

На каждом концерте Queen обязательно исполнялось несколько песен из «A Night at the Opera» (только «Love of My Life» никогда не исполнялась в альбомной версии). Принято считать, что песня «Death on Two Legs» посвящена бывшему продюсеру группы. «Bohemian Rhapsody» в 2000 году была признана «песней тысячелетия» в Британии. A Day at the Races сразу же попал под огонь критики. Queen обвиняли в неудачной попытке повторить A Night At The Opera. The Aerosol Grey Machine is the first album by the British progressive rock band Van der Graaf Generator. It was released in September 1969.
The album was originally intended as a solo album by the band's lead singer and main songwriter, Peter Hammill. When the band signed with Charisma Records, a deal was worked out whereby The Aerosol Grey Machine would be released under the Van der Graaf Generator name, in return for Mercury Records releasing Hammill from his earlier contract with it.

Czerwone Gitary (The Red Guitars) is one of the most popular rock bands in the history of Polish popular music. The band formed in 1965 and achieved its greatest success from 1965 to 1970. Often considered the Polish equivalent of the Beatles, many of their hits are now classics in Poland. The group toured extensively outside Poland (in Czechoslovakia, Hungary, USA, Germany and Soviet Union) but had mostly disappeared from the Polish scene by the 1980s. The band reformed in the 1990s.

The band moved to the Superball Music label early in 2014 and began work on their fifth album, Mystoria, recording at Monnow Valley Studio in the May of that year. The album was released on the 8th of September 2014 in the UK and mainland Europe, and on September 30 in the USA.
