Эта выдающаяся группа в очередной раз смогла удивить. Казалось вполне предсказуемым, что новый альбом будет представлять собой очень качественную, умело сделанную попсу. И клип “Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)” подтверждал самые худшие опасения. Эта песня, несколько похожая на “The Foetus of the New Day Kicking” с альбома “Thornography”, возможно, самая попсовая за всю карьеру Cradle of Filth. Тем более, в этой песне мало используется экстремальный вокал, от чего тут же поползли предположения, что голос у Дэни Филта уже не тот. В общем, оснований для оптимизма было маловато… Однако после первого же прослушивания “Darkly, Darky Venus Aversa” я тут же решил, что это - лучший зарубежный металлический альбом 2010-го года.
