В марте 2009 года Emerald Sun принялись за работу над вторым альбомом. На этот раз запись проходила в Германии на студии Maranis под руководством Dimitri Liapakis. Сначала были записаны все партии, кроме вокала, что стало причиной разногласий в коллективе. В сентябре Emerald Sun сообщили, что вокалист Jimmy Santrazami больше не является членом команды. На смену ему пришёл Stelios "Theo" Tsakirides. Новый альбом получил название "Regeneration", что символизирует собой новый этап в истории группы. Релиз альбома состоялся в феврале 2011 на новом лейбле Pitch Black Records.В марте Emerald Sun пришлось распрощаться с Teo Savage и Jim Tsakirides. На смену им пришли Pavlos Gewrgiades и Sefis Gioldasis, которые продемонстрировали своё мастерство в февральском туре Hellenic.
