Find Your Way is the debut album by English R&B singer Gabrielle. It was released in 1993 and features her UK number one single, "Dreams", along with three further UK Top 40 singles; "Going Nowhere", I Wish" and "Because of You". The album reached number 9 in the UK Albums Chart.

Oftentimes, U.K. chart success does not necessarily mean stateside success, as is evident with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard, Simply Red, Robbie Williams, and, in this case, the warm-voiced, anti-diva British soul/pop singer/songwriter Gabrielle, the recipient of 1997's Brit Award for Best British Female Vocalist. Gabrielle scored with an amazing run of hits in Europe, but only one true hit in the U.S. with "Dreams." All of her charted singles are assembled on Dreams Can Come True: Greatest Hits, Vol. 1, a fantastic collection of truly timeless, fad-free music -- upbeat, positive songs which could have been hits 30 years before this album's release and will sound just as good 30 years later.

Frida ensam (English: Frida Alone) is the second studio album by Swedish singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad. It was produced by her fiancé, Benny Andersson, both members of the pop group ABBA, and was first released by Polar Music in 1975. It has since been re-released several times, most significantly in remastered form in 2005 with bonus tracks. The lead song was Frida's solo version of "Fernando" (written and produced by Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus). All lyrics are in Swedish. The album was a huge success in Sweden, and Lyngstad was awarded with a platinum disc.

Franz Ferdinand is the debut studio album by Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand, first released on 9 February 2004 through the Domino Recording Company. It was recorded during 2003 at Gula Studios in Malmö, Sweden, with Tore Johansson, who produced the majority of the album, with two tracks produced by the band themselves. The Colour and the Shape is the second studio album by the American rock band Foo Fighters. Produced by Gil Norton, it was released through Capitol Records and the group's own Roswell Records on May 20, 1997. The record is the debut of the Foo Fighters as a group, as the band's previous record, Foo Fighters (1995), was primarily recorded by frontman Dave Grohl and friend Barrett Jones as a demo. After the project ballooned and became an international success, the group convened for pre-production in the fall of 1996 and brought in producer Norton to establish a pop sensibility for the tracks. The band strived to create a full-fledged rock record, although the music press predicted another grunge offshoot.

The Dance is a live album by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 19 August 1997. It hailed the return of the band's most successful line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks, who had not released an album together since 1987's Tango in the Night a decade earlier. Наверное, один из самых долгожданных релизов года. После переиздания диска «Stormblast» члены группы пообещали взяться за новый материал. И спустя два года мы имеем этот, по сути, сногсшибательный материал. А точнее, нашим ушам представлено продолжение прошлого альбома в еще более красивой и техничной интерпретации. Сразу врезаются в уши все отдельно взятые инструменты и вокал. Музыканты на славу потрудились и отшлифовали все до блеска – гитары чистые и четкие, вокал отлично записан и чертовски удачно сочетается с главной линией альбома. Довольно частые и уместные соляки отчетливо слышны и не прячутся за основной лид-партией. Клавишные партии ярко выражены и частенько выступают на передний план, хотя сказать, что с ними переборщили, нельзя. О барабанах можно сказать только хорошее – отличная техника Хэллхамера, хорошо слышна спаренная бочка и отчетливые тарелки

Весь этот альбом – одна большая история людей, смирившихся со своими невзгодами и несчастьями. История потенциальных самоубийц. Что и подтверждает последний трек – пятнадцатиминутная симфония, музыкальное письмо, направленное самой Смерти, с просьбой придти наконец, и закончить то, что начала Жизнь, которая и привела их к такому концу. “O, life, you have killed me / O, death, come near us, and give us life…”, - этими короткими строчками и подводится черта.

Это лучший релиз Доро в XXI веке. Более того - это ее лучший релиз со времен "Angels Never Die". Уж и не знаю, что заставило фрау Пеш подсобраться, насочинять пусть и фактурный, но цепляющий материал и весьма энергично воплотить его на пластмассовой болванке под названием "Warrior Soul".

Переиздание альбомов шведских дэтстеров наверняка станет подарком для всех любопытствующих. И немудрено: команда хоть и шведская, а налет американщины чувствуется столь явно, что их легко спутать с какой-нибудь заокеанской группой середины девяностых. Ощутимое влияние трэша добавляет атмосфере альбома юношеского задора и разнузданности, которые, собственно, и составляют основное впечатление от прослушивания. Несмотря на ремастеринг, запись оставляет желать лучшего: нечеткие и глухие гитары незаслуженно задвинуты куда-то назад, при этом основной упор сделан на ударные.

Честно говоря, "Long Way Home" до сих пор вызывает у меня смешанное чувство восхищения и разочарования. Этой пластинкой Dokken открыли новое тысячелетие и на мой взгляд окончательно похоронили свое прошлое. К 2002 году из "золотого" состава, остались только Дон Доккен и Мик Браун. С тех людей, с которых все началось и которыми наверное все и закончится. "Erase The Slate" был тем самым последним скачком группы или лучше сказать доказательством того, что Dokken - это все таки уже "рок-легенда". Как то в одном из интервью перед выпуском "Long Way Home", Дон заявил,что он подготовил убийственный материал и если их прошлая работа разошлась по миру миллионным тиражом, то сейчас цель продать пластинок ничуть не меньше.

De\Vision - это одна из немногих групп в стиле synth-pop, творчество которой мне очень симпатично, не скрою. Впервые с музыкой этого немецкого дуэта я познакомился где-то в 2002 году и это был именно альбом "Two", а точнее в радиоэфире ротировалась песня "State of Mind". Признаюсь, я был впечатлен. Много позже я более основательно приобщился к этому стилю музыки и к этой группе в частности. Сразу скажу, что критически относиться к столь качественной и красивой электронной музыке я не могу - всё сделано на уровне с немецкой педантичностью и пунктуальностью. Однако, начиная примерно с альбома "Void", саунд группы претерпел значительные изменения, пошедшие, тем не менее, на пользу музыкантам: чувствуется их творческий рост, музыка стала "взрослее", вполне вероятно, что смена саунд-продюсера в этом "виновна".
