"Nightfall" - это каскад мелодий и переливы вокальных оттенков. Именно на нём, как мне кажется, талант музыкантов Candlemass раскрылся полностью, во всей своей монументальной красе. Если на "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” ещё были огрехи в плане композиции, выработки материала, то на "Nightfall" всё находится в поражающей ухо гармонии. При этом размах, который был характерной чертой дебюта, не только остался, но и усилился. Это, собственно, и есть особенность этого альбома: продуманность и рафинированность вместе с масштабностью и широтой музыкального пространства. Стройности этому произведению придаёт и вокал Марколина, который, здесь уж не поспоришь, звучит гораздо более профессионально и стабильно, чем оный у Ланквиста.
