Несомненно, "Among the Living" является лучшей записью в истории Anthrax. После великолепного "Spreading the Disease" ребята решили сделать следующий альбом быстрее, жестче и агрессивнее, и это им полностью удалось. Альбом идеален во всех отношениях - сокрушительные риффы Скотта Йена, мощная ритм-секция от Чарли Бенанте и неподражаемого Френка Белло, отличные гитарные соло Дэна Спица и, разумеется, неподражаемый вокал Джои Белладоны. Парни превосходно выполнили свою работу и выложились на 100 процентов.
