Впервые американцы All Shall Perish (Oakland, CA) "засветились" на местной перенасыщенной death metal-сцене в 2002 году. Высочайшая конкуренция, существующая среди групп данного направления по ту сторону Атлантики заставляет новичков прикладывать безумные усилия к тому, чтобы отличаться от серой массы подражателей Suffocation и Cannibal Corpse. Естественно, самый легкий путь к этому - интеграция в, казалось бы, монолитный стиль (brutal death metal) более легких к восприятию публикой элементов. All Shall Perish, не долго думая, к death metal примешали элементы hardcore и модного melodic death metal скандинавского образца. Какое-то время заняло создание нового материала, утряска деталей - и в путь!
