Eyehategod. Американские алкоголики, хулиганы, тунеядцы, друзья Anal Cunt и исполнители sludge doom’a в одном лице. Первый альбом «In the Name of Suffering» выпущен в 1992 году, переиздан в 2001. Хрестоматийный, классический звук. Вязкий, грязный, циничный, впивающийся в уши перегруженными низкими частотами и сверлящий дырки в голове резким металлическим визгом. Не настолько экстремальное и медленное, как у многих нынешних представителей, но равномерно качающее и обволакивающее исполнение. Несложный ритм, звонкие барабаны и издевательский вокал. Темп подобран тягучий и выматывающий, но в некоторых местах есть и ощутимое ускорение («Run It into the Ground», к примеру). Но обычно «глазастые» музыканты никуда не спешат, и их песенки на 3-4 минуты не обделены главным кайфом подобной музыки – резкая атака и долгое смакование жирного, искаженного звука.
