Работа завораживает не столько умением аранжировщиков, сколько великолепной динамикой, напевной яркостью как минимум половины треков и глубоким внутренним миром, что заставляет копаться в слоях каждой композиции. Несмотря на отсутствие инноваций в элементах и мелодиях, "Urd" – пожалуй, высшая ступень развития для Borknagar, где всё или почти всё сошлось в одной точке – и коллаж всех периодов, и три отличных голоса, и умение затянуть в атмосферу. Разве что значительную часть эпизодов и партий вокала мы уже не раз слышали, но это поправка на ветер.
