Несмотря на то, что Mordred играли довольно конкретный трэш, и им были не чужды чувство юмора и новаторство, в Калифорнии к концу 80-х таких групп развелось как собак нерезанных... Смешение трэша с фанком стало однажды тоже модно и начало приедаться даже самым открытым умам. Мордред просто потонули в огромном количестве похожих банд, подорвав свою репутацию уже на втором альбоме «In This Life» (1991). Но этот дебютник заслуживает внимания всех, кому по душе железо в духе Testament или Death Angel, всех, кто уважает поиск и юмор, и не настроен против экспериментов с фанком, пока они не приняли инфляционного характера.
