Второй альбом Evol (и последний в виде трио) - перезаписанная, укомплектованная новыми песнями версия демо-кассеты «The Dark Dreamquest», записанной между 1993-94 г.г. - обозначил отказ от мрачного созерцательного направления, предложенного на «Saga...», в сторону более динамичного и легкоусвояемого симфо-блэка. И это… пошло группе на пользу. Подобный шаг вовсе не отрицал полностью тех удачных наработок, что были использованы на предыдущем диске. Пусть блэк от Evol представляет собой сырую копию первых норвежских образцов 92-93 гг., многочисленные атмосферные приемы декорируют этот недостаток. К сожалению, подобное взаимодействие неидеальное, потому что медленные инструментальные зарисовки просто остаются в тени блэковых треков.
