Интересно, что в отличие от дебюта, насквозь пропитанного молодецкой агрессией, “Ride The Lightning” отличается общим меланхоличным настроением. Вероятно, утрата инструментов стала такой тяжелой, что этого настроения хватило не только на великолепную балладу “Fade To Black”, но и на весь альбом. Во всяком случае, впечатления жесткости и тяжести второй альбом Металлики у меня никогда не вызывал.
