Третий альбом голландцев стал началом весьма противоречивого трёхальбомного периода группы. Именно в 94-ом году они стали отходить от ортодоксального death’а и внедрять в музыку более легкие элементы. Главным образом, это выразилось в подскочившей раз в пять мелодике, которая вытеснила практически весь всем привычный дэтовый чёс (разве что "Piece Of Paper" этого избежала). А во-вторых, на "Erase" Ян-Крис де Койер зарычал таким гроулом, какого больше нет ни у кого – этот голос стал визитной карточкой Gorefest и выделил группу из всех существующих death metal формаций! И это при том, что по-настоящему он раскроется только на следующем альбоме!
