В 1982 году свет увидел самый важный альбом английских блэк-треш металистов Venom – «Black Metal». С его выходом они можно сказать выполнили свою миссию – создали блэк метал и…что дальше? Такое ощущение что дальше они просто сдулись. Третий полноформатный альбом «At War With Satan» вышел после выхода сингла «Bloodlust» и представлял собой самый обыкновеннейший спид-треш, который они, собственно, и исполняли раньше.
