Новый проект вокалистки Helena Iren Michaelsen (ex-Trail of Tears) и гитариста Jan Yrlund (Danse Macabre, ex-Ancient Rites). Музыку группы можно назвать atmospheric metal с женским оперным вокалом и оркестровыми партиями. В этом проекте собрались музыканты, участвовавшие раньше в различных известных группах. Helena Iren Michaelsen заслужила большую популярность у слушателей тяжелой музыки участием в Trail Of Tears и Sahara Dust (ныне Epica). После этого Хелена решила пойти дальше, для чего переехала в Голландию (сама она родом из Норвегии), где и собрала в 2003 году группу Imperia, новую Gothic сенсацию.
