Мало кто знает о том, что группа формировала в своё время андеграундную, только зародившеюся с 85-го, death metal сцену штатов, наряду с AUTOPSY и INCANTATION. Данный релиз является вторым в дискографии коллектива, и представляет собой сплав исконного смертельного метала (манера гитаристов и периодические убыстрения ритм-секции) с thrash, пропущенным через риффы в обилии, звучавшие на первых альбомах “Мэйденов”. Как видите, сочетание не самое удобоваримое, к тому же сдобренное звуком, несущим в себе искреннюю веру в дух экстремального подземелья, поэтому забудьте о жире и чистоте. При всём при этом, любо-дорого послушать настоящий невылизанный артефакт музыкальной стойкости. В данном обзоре прозвучало определение death metal, но как таковой тяжести и тем более брутальности, вы здесь не найдёте, потому что акцент делается на передёргивании ритма, что свойственно для очень старого thrash metal. Как ни парадоксально прозвучит, но музыка нацелена на агрессию, не являясь агрессивной, в той мере как принято ожидать от death команды.
