В 1998 Alchemist выпустили в Австралии "Eve of the War" - посвящение герою детства, Jeff Wayne. Запись была приурочена к 20-той годовщине выхода саундтрека к "War of the Worlds". На миньоне собран весьма интересный материал: кавер композиции Джеффа Уэйна 20-летней давности "Eve Of The War", пара концертных треков, ремикс песни с альбома 1995 года и две композиции с дебютного альбома. Мини-альбом стал номером 7 в австралийских "Independent Record Сharts", но снова пал жертвой плохой дистрибьюции на внешнем рынке.
