За время путешествия по Европе группе до смерти надоели исполнители новой волны пауэр-метала, и музыканты решили попробовать проникнуть в эту христианскую сцену при помощи своего нового мелодично-дьявольским материалом. Stormlord заменил Reaper за барабанами. Группа снова отправилась в студию XL в апреле 1999 года и записала третий альбом, "At the Gates of Hell", который был неожиданно очень мелодичным, но по-прежнему сатанинским, как и все предыдущие релизы.
