С успехом демо компании звукозаписи начали проявлять интерес к Callenish Circle и в январе 1996 полосу группу подписал молодой голландский лейбл Hammerheart на выпуск одного полноформатного альбома. В апреле группа вошла опять в студию Beaufort, где был записан их дебют, названный '' Drift of Empathy '' при участии известного продюсера Han Swagerman ( The Gathering ''Always'' Phlebotomized and Sear Bliss ''The Haunting''). Альбом содержит 9 дорожек на 50 минут. Музыка может быть описана как ... '' Разнообразный и мелодичный death с влиянием меланхоличного Doom ''
