Тем не менее, самые сильные стороны группы являются и её минусами. Творческий поиск вне жанровых рамок привёл к тому, что все песни сделаны в разных стилях и не всё получилось удачно. Скажем, нарочитый реверанс в сторону дэтовых корней в этот раз звучит довольно вымученно – особенно это слышно в куплетах «Every Man for Himself... and God Against All», где мощный гроул странным образом сменяется довольно невыразительным, вялым «чистым» припевом. Зато неплохой припев «I Have Seen My Soul» под бодрый дабл-бас и перегруженные гитары, спетый в надрывно-роковой манере, если не делает песню суперхитом, то уже вызывает интерес после довольно смелого, но слабого начала альбома… Следующая за ней заглавная «A Kingdom to Disappear (It's Too Late)» с налётом панка тоже восторга не вызывает, но цепляет драйвом и непринуждённой распевностью.
