Power metal с элементами NWOBHM в русле Saxon и Iron Maiden, выходящий из их мастерской, обладает какой-то особой магией, при этом не претендуя на эпичность, пафосность, масштабность и прочие маловразумительные вещи. Здесь царствует своя атмосфера, навеянная замечательным оформлением, правят бал изящные мелодические ходы, подкрепляемые отличным вокалом Томаса Викстрёма (Stormwind, экс-Candlemass). Боевички звучат мощно, напористо, риффы и припевы западают в память, а баллады не стараются выдавить слезу – наоборот, "Warrior" к удивлению обращается к хард-роковым мотивам Rainbow и Гленна Хьюза, а гитарное соло вторит Блэкмору. Как итог, безусловные рекомендации почитателям стиля. "Beyond The Shadows" не открывает новых континентов, но завораживает основательным подходом к делу участников квинтета.
