Музыкальный стиль, как и у Strapping Young Lad, представляет собой смесь дэта, трэша и индастриала, причем последний тут доминирует. А вот в плане общей идеи «Physicist» больше всего напоминает, как ни странно, недавний «Addicted». Тот же прямолинейный поп-метал (скорее даже хиппи-метал), только гораздо более тяжелый, агрессивный и безумный. Музыка очень мелодична, но большая часть этой мелодичности спрятана в стенах звука, благодаря чему полностью воспринимается только при полном погружении. Вокал главным образом чистый, невероятно наивный для подобной музыки, но в других местах - весьма агрессивный и надрывный. Атмосфера яркая и солнечная, и в то же время какая-то неземная, а местами - психоделическая.
