Такого в те времена никто не слышал даже от самих Emperor. Качественно иной подход к созданию музыки. Совершенно нестандартный подход к сведению и мастерингу, невиданные ранее аранжировки. Отстраненно звучащие клавиши, ревущие, нарочито размытые гитарные партии, от которых веет таким холодом, словно их записывали где-то в бездне, плюс громовые раскаты барабанов. Вокал упрятан на второй план, а на переднем плане даже не какой-то определенный инструмент (хотя клавиши порой гитары топят, но это не является недостатком на данном альбоме), а атмосфера гнева, какой-то скачки сквозь бурю, силы стихий, сорвавшиеся с привязи! Иногда музыка напоминает холодный туман, медленно ползущий с горных вершин, порой музыка подобна сорвавшейся снежной лавине, которая разрушает все на своем пути.
