В первоначальный состав вошли вокалист/гитарист Томми Кифер (Tommy Kiefer), бас-гитарист Ремо Спадино (Remo Spadino), барабанщик/пианист Крис Фон Pop (Chris Von Rohr) и гитарист Ханси Дроз (Hansi Droz), записавшие одноименный дебютный альбом KROKUS с «гостевым» вокалистом Питером Ричардом (Peter Richard). Впоследствии, однако, не раз менялись как участники группы, так и распределение обязанностей между ними. Следующий альбом «То You All» был записан уже новым составом - Спадино и Дроза сменили бывшие участники группы MONTEZUMA, гитарист Фернандо Фон Арб (Fernando Von Arb), барабанщик Фредди Стэди (Freddy Steady) и басист Йорг Негели (Jurg Naegeli), в то время как Фон Pop переключился на клавишные и вокал.
