Стоит сказать, что музыкальная составляющая проекта претерпела весьма незначительные изменения. Winds играют все ту же уникальную смесь прогрессивного дума с неоклассической музыкой. Тем не менее, обвинить группу в самоплагиате не могу, так как направление практически никем не разрабатывается. За последнее время что-то отдаленно похожее можно было услышать только у Virgin Black. Что не порадовало, это несколько размазанная структура альбома. Если на дебютнике все вещи имели четкое развитие, и каждый фрагмент был на своем месте, то сейчас звучание стало более хаотичным. В этом отношении эволюция Winds напоминает мне то, как менялся Vintersorg от “Cosmic Genesis” к “The Focusing Blur”. Материал все более прогрессивный, но при этом здорово страдает красота музыки. В остальном все те же сумасшедшие по звучанию сольные проходы Тайдманна, техничная игра фон Бломберга (больше известного как Hellhammer), клавишные загоны Винтера, и харизматический вокал Ларса Эрика Си. Ну и струнный квартет тоже на месте.
