Водородный показатель pH (произносится "пэ аш") - это химическая мера активности ионов водорода в растворе. pH = 7 характеризует нейтральную, сбалансированную среду (дегазированная дистиллированная вода): в ней количество положительных ионов H+ равно количеству отрицательных ионов OH-. pH 7 - щелочная. Питер Хэммилл иногда подписывается как pH (Peter Hammill). pH7 - восьмой (а не седьмой, как, казалось бы) сольный альбом Питера Хэммилла. Более того, как признает сам автор, альбом ну никак нельзя назвать ни нейтральным, ни сбалансированным. Так что название следует воспринимать не более чем иронию и своего рода маскировку.
