The Idiot (рус. Идиот) — дебютный сольный студийный альбом американского рок-музыканта Игги Попа. Это была первая из двух пластинок, выпущенных в 1977 году, которые Поп создал в тандеме с Дэвидом Боуи. Хотя диск вышел после первого альбома так называемой «Берлинской Трилогии Боуи», музыканты начали работать над материалом для The Idiot ещё в середине 1976 года, прежде чем Боуи приступил к работе над его собственной пластинкой. Таким образом, The Idiot стал неофициальным предвестником «берлинского периода» Боуи, по этой причине, его часто сравнивают с пластинками Low и «Heroes», в плане электронных эффектов, плавного инструментального звука и интроспективной атмосферы.
