"The Eros Of Frigid Beauty", изданный на Root Of All Evil, увидел свет в январе 2002-го и получил лестные отзывы от публики, хотя потенциальных хитов на нем не было. В том же году состоялось первое появление Aesma Daeva перед слушателями. Для такого дела в состав группы были приглашены вокалистка Мелисса Ферлаак, барабанщик Крэйг Орен и гитарист Эрл Рут. Дебютный концерт команда отыграла в маленьком клубе в городке Сент-Пол. Зато уже буквально через неделю музыканты выступили перед гораздо большей аудиторией на Milwaukee Metalfest. Благодаря этому Aesma Daeva попали в поле зрения мэйнстримовых метал-изданий типа "Unrestrained!", "Terrorizer" и "Metal Maniacs", признавших группу одним их ярких событий фестиваля.
