Итальянская группа DGM была сформирована в 1994 году в качестве инструментального проекта. В начале 1997 года музыканты начинают работу над дебютным полнометражником «Change Direction», который выходит в ноябре того же года. Работа снова получает положительные отзывы, но уже не только в Италии, но и в Германии, Финляндии, Дании и других странах. Команда выходит на международный уровень и совершает концертное турне по Италии с посещением всех крупнейших городов. В сентябре 1998 года группа начинает работу над новым материалом, в этот момент в группе происходит смена ударника.
