В первую очередь, я бы не стал называть “Twilight of the Gods” балладным альбомом, как это многие делают. Наличия низкого темпа ещё недостаточно для того, чтобы называть песню балладой. На самом деле, альбом отличает преобладание свинцово-давящего, буквально застывающего на ходу темпа. Здесь, в отличие от “Hammerheart”, уже нет ни малейшего намека на прошлые заслуги Bathory на ниве трэш-блэка. Только глобальные эпические полотна, с композиционным построением, близким к классическим произведениям.
