Ставка сделана на пилотный сингл «The Ballads V» – пьесу «Love's Holding On», исполненную штатным вокалистом группы Акселя, Джонни Джоэли (Johnny Gioeli – также Hardline) дуэтом с всеобщей любимицей Бонни Тайлер (Bonnie Tyler). Собственно, такую песню Аксель мог бы преспокойно написать и 30 лет назад, но в данном случае, учитывая правила игры в прошлое – это похвала. Еще один новый номер, «On The Edge Of Our Time» не слушался бы чужеродным на альбомах Rainbow 1981–1983 годов. Зато кавер-версии таких неочевидных авторов, как современная поп-звезда Эд Ширэн (Ed Sheeran) «I See Fire» и ветеран Нил Янг (Neil Young) «Hey Hey My My» решены очень помпезно – в их аранжировках рояль Ферди Дорнберга (Ferdy Doernberg – также Rough Silk) занимает места не меньше, чем гитара Акселя.
