Таким образом "Death Angel" стали одной из первых групп своего направления, подписанной к солидной фирме, однако не все складывалось гладко. И хотя альбом "Act III", на котором музыканты продолжили эксперименты со стиранием межжанровых границ, отличался заметно улучшившимся саунд-продюсом, да и вообще содержал качественный материал, ожидаемого прорыва в мэйнстрим не случилось. Несмотря на то, что по MTV гонялись клипы на "Seemingly Endless Time" и "A Room With A View", третий альбом удостоился популярности только в Европе и Японии, в то время как Америка отреагировала на него с прохладцей.
