Шестой полноформатный альбом голландской Brutal Death Metal группы Sinister. Диск получился неплохим, даже можно сказать отличным. Гитарные партии здесь прописаны очень профессионально, так как это и подабает Sinister. Ударные звучат тоже довольно прилично. А так, в принципе, изменений у группы маловато: всё те же быстрые гитарные пассажи, всё те же короткие соло, такие же ударные, тот же бас, почти то же интро, правда немного волнующее, идеально бы подошло в качестве саундтрека к фильму "Хищник". Нормальная, грамотная работа.

Первое - композиции: это действительно дэт-баллады, как бы необычно ни звучало. Доля эмоций и агрессии просто зашкаливает, и тем не менее, это очень депрессивный альбом в рамках брутала. Здесь я имею в виду не только великолепнейшую "Came No Ray of Light", но и добрую половину альбома. Именно поэтому альбом лучше было назвать не "Рассвет Апокалипсиса", а "Закат жизни на земле". Так как настоящий хаос к нам пришёл в "Dechristianize", такой релиз дослушать до конца сможет далеко не каждый! Так что, зачем себе мучить разум, если не можете понять весь гений Vital Remains?.

Музыкально же группа прибавила заметно в технике и брутальности по сравнению с предыдущими альбомами и заметно отличается от всех последующих какой-то особенной изюминкой и атмосферой. Качество звука немного уступает в звучании ударных, они не такие объемные и сокрушительные, как на предыдущем кристально чистом по звуку «Eternal». Звук ритм-гитары очень плотный, сырой и брутальный, создает незабываемый драйв и стену звука, от которой, слегка утомляется слух. На альбоме также присутствуют низкий гроулинг и эпизодически скриминг. Соло-гитара не так выразительна, как хотелось бы, и присутствует всего в четырех треках из 13, что собственно не особенно портит общую картину, а возникает ощущение, что именно так и задумывалось.

Сейчас музыка не имеет ничего общего ни с грайндом, ни с дэтом, хотя некоторые "фишки" были взяты оттуда. В некоторых песня даже применялись клавишные. Ещё больше черного юмора. Вокал как никогда разнообразен. Вообще, не типичная работа, продуманная, весёлая и очень качественная, а главная законченная, что очень важно в концептуальных работах. Определенно семь лет ожидания того стоили, без доли сомнений я назову этот альбом шедевром и посоветую его послушать всем тем, кто этого ещё не сделал.
