The Best of OMD is a compilation album by Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, released in 1988.
The record essentially delineates the group's experimental early years from their pop-oriented later work: side one features recordings from 1979–1984, while side two is drawn from the group's 1984–1988 efforts. It was a worldwide success, becoming a Top 5 hit across Europe and achieving 3x platinum sales in the United Kingdom. "Dreaming" was released as a single and made little impact on the UK charts, reaching no. 50, but it was a hit in the US (no. 16), Germany (no. 26) and South Africa (no. 2).

The Definitive Collection is a compilation of the greatest hits by Olivia Newton-John, an internationally recognised singer and actress.

Odyssey is originally a New York City, United States-based singing group, best known for their 1977 hit "Native New Yorker," and a series of other mainly dance and soul hits in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Now based in the United Kingdom, the band is led and fronted by Steven Collazo and continues to perform and record.

Don't Believe the Truth is the sixth studio album by English rock band Oasis, released on 30 May 2005 through Big Brother Records. It reached number one in the UK Albums Chart with first week sales of just under 238,000, and is the 32nd fastest selling album ever in the UK. The album entered the US charts at number 12, with 65,000 copies sold in the first week, the highest any Oasis album had reached there since 1997's Be Here Now, although its chart stay was brief. Don't Believe the Truth went triple platinum in the UK in the first week of 2006 (900,000+ sales), and in the US has sold more than 200,000 copies.

The Dreams We Have as Children – Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a charity live album by singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. Gallagher recorded the album at a charity concert at the London Royal Albert Hall on 27 March 2007.
Gallagher, best known as guitarist, main songwriter and occasional vocalist of English Britpop band Oasis played a set composing of primarily Oasis songs and was joined by fellow Oasis musician Gem Archer on guitar for the performance. The album's title stems from a lyric in the Oasis song "Fade Away", and Gallagher-penned Oasis songs make up the bulk of the songs recorded on the album. Past collaborator and friend of Gallagher Paul Weller (formerly of The Jam/Style Council) joined Gallagher on stage for two songs during the performance, too.

The Singles 1992–2003 is a greatest hits album by American rock band No Doubt, released on November 14, 2003 by Interscope Records. It features thirteen of the band's singles from three studio albums—Tragic Kingdom (1995), Return of Saturn (2000), and Rock Steady (2001)—and the single "Trapped in a Box" from their 1992 self-titled debut album. The album also included a cover of Talk Talk's 1984 song "It's My Life", the only new song on the album and which was released as a single. It was released alongside the DVD Rock Steady Live, a video of a concert as part of the band's Rock Steady tour in 2002, and the box set Boom Box, which contained The Singles 1992–2003, Everything in Time, The Videos 1992–2003, and Live in the Tragic Kingdom.

Зато создалась порченая ведьмочка, эдакая девочка (?) Ипек, бывшая турчанка теперь американка. Она то и исполнила все партии вокала на альбоме: от визга к крику, от рыка к сопрано и обратно к визгу, визгу… С музыкой вышло попроще – абсолютная вторичность (death/black metal). Явно антихристианский тексты просты, как и все гениальное: сплошной die, fuck, blood и прочий отработанный материал. В целом – обложка – вот самое полезное в этом альбоме.

Хороший образец качественного готик-металического альбома, максимум вокала - максимум аранжировок. Несколько видов женского пения - тут вам и хор, и оперный голос, но ведущее всё-таки обычное, кое-где напоминающее Beseech. Мужских вокала два: гроулинг и иногда встречающийся брутальный полускрим, ну а музыка... Всё очень атмосферно, гитары, конечно, тоже не забыты, иногда проскальзывают и соляки (занятные, прямо скажем, соляки!), но чаще всего это фон.

Мне больше всего нравится этот альбом именно тем, что здесь самое большое количество маленьких шедевров. Такого нет на монументальном "Secrets of the Runes", воспринимаемом как одно целое (за вычетом каверов), нет на последующих дисках тем паче, а из предыдущих дисков в симфо-стиле - только "Theli" напоминает "Deggial".

Однако "Namenlos" - это не тупой возврат к корням. Хоть во время прослушивания и всплывают ассоциации со многих предшествующих альбомов, это не самокопирование, скорее это попытка сделать новый шаг, пусть и довольно скромный, но основываясь на своем же опыте. На этом альбоме почти нет абсолютно хитовых песен, которые узнаются с первой же ноты. Тут нет никакого намека на какой-то прорыв. Тут все в обычном духе L`Ame Immortelle. Даже рифма в стихах напоминает некоторые песни из их творчества. Но при этом все слушается как-то по новому. Может больше искренности чувствуется во всем этом. По крайней мере мне ни одна песня не показалась "искусственной", как, например, в "Auf Deinen Schwingen"...

Лив Кристин Эспенес Крулл можно без преувеличения назвать одной из самых ярких и узнаваемых вокалисток на gothic-сцене. Более десяти лет её красивый голос и платиновые локоны были «торговой маркой» группы Theatre of Tragedy. Но в один не самый прекрасный день их пути разошлись, и Лив пришлось переосмыслить многие вещи и начинать с чистого листа. Так появилась группа Leaves’ Eyes, в которой Лив объединилась с музыкантами Atrocity во главе с её супругом Алексом Круллом.

Музыканты не стали ограничивать себя стандартными для black metal'а приёмами, а использовали весь спектр возможных техник игры на инструментах. Многие гитарные партии вместе с разнообразными аранжировками ударных звучат очень агрессивно и динамично, используя элементы, больше подошедшие бы для death-metal-стилей, но мелодичность композиций всё расставляет на свои места. Во всём этом присутствует и своя оригинальность, нельзя сказать что идеи явно у кого-то заимствованы. Вокальные партии исполняются стандартным для black'а скримингом, но голос вокалиста легко узнаваем с предыдущих работ.
