Сольный альбом Мэта Синнера – вокалиста и главного человека в команде Sinner. Что бы мог сделать такой металлист как Мэт? – вот и я о чём – на диске хэви металл высшего немецкого качества, не уступающий работам его основной группы. Качество звука отличное, вокал оригинален и непохож на вокалиста Pretty Maids как это было в начале 80-х годов, материал сделан в духе последних работ Грешника, релиз радует средне темповыми сильными номерами как «Wildest Dreams» (очень похожа на песню «Chasing My Dreams» из альбома «No More Alibis») и «Face To Face»(чем-то напомнила мне лучшие вещи группы Accept), так и быстрыми боевиками – «Back To The Bullet» и «Crying In The Wires», есть неплохая баллада «Call My Name». В общем сильная и хорошая работа, способная заинтересовать всех поклонников Синнера, а особенно позднего творчества.

Никогда особо не любил Machine Head, но этот релиз стоит особняком. После этого Робб Флинн и Ко не сумели ничего произвести на свет оригинального, и, как мне кажется, ударились в самоповтор. Самый тяжелый их релиз, не по восприятию, как раз с этим здесь все в порядке, а по звучанию. Заменивший Криса Контоса (ушедшего в Konkhra) Дэйв МакКлейн великолепно отработал на ударных, Робб Флинн показал, что он умеет не только петь «чистым» голосам, но и великолепно исполнять скриминг, и даже, местами, гроул. Качество записи здесь на 100%, великолепно слышны все инструменты и вокал, причем ни один инструмент не выдвинут на передний план, как это часто бывает, всё звучит монолитно, классное «жирное» звучание гитар и баса.

Ребята из Soilwork оказались очень продуктивными, штампуют, видите ли, каждый год по альбому и в ус не дуют! И что самое удивительно, новые альбомы получаются всегда сильными! То же самое и с пятым альбомом шведов – выполненный в ключе прошлого шедеврального альбома “Natural Born Chaos”, он ещё больше приправлен клавишными, и звучит ещё более современно, вследствие чего был наречён модерн-дэтом.

The Clyde Valley Stompers turned professional in 1956 led by trombonist Ian Menzies after founding member Jim McHarg emigrated to Canada. They subsequently recorded with the iconic ‘Decca’ label and during the next five years took part in a series of tours with influential jazz artistes from wider afield including Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Kid Oliver’s Original Creole Band.
