Raffaella Maria Pelloni, better known as Raffaella Carrà (Italian: [raffaˈɛlla karˈra], born 18 June 1943, Bologna) is an Italian singer, dancer, television presenter, and actress. She is a popular figure in Europe and Latin America, both as a result of her many well-known taped presentations and records, and because of her many popular TV shows. Carrà is widely regarded as a gay icon.

New Adventures in Hi-Fi is the 10th studio album by the American alternative rock band R.E.M. It was their fifth major label release for Warner Bros. Records, released on September 9, 1996, in Europe and Australia and the following day in the United States. New Adventures in Hi-Fi was the last album recorded with founding member Bill Berry (who left the band amicably the following year), original manager Jefferson Holt, and long-time producer Scott Litt. It is also their longest studio album, with a total track time of 65 minutes.

Evel Knievel Factor is the second studio-album by the Finnish rock group Private Line. It was released in Finland on 1 November 2006. Two singles have been released from the album: "Broken Promised Land" on 31 May 2005, and "Sound Advice" on 28 January 2007. The b-side on the "Broken Promised Land" single is the album track "Uniform", while as b-sides to "Sound Advice" are two previously unreleased songs, "Tokyo" and "Criminal". The title is a reference to legendary American motorcycle daredevil Evel Knievel.

Delicate Sound of Thunder is the first entirely live album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It was recorded over five nights at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, New York in August 1988 and mixed at Abbey Road Studios in September 1988. It was released on 22 November 1988, through EMI Records in the United Kingdom and Columbia Records in the United States.

Philip Catherine was born in London to an English mother and Belgian father and was raised in Brussels. His grandfather played violin in the London Symphony Orchestra. Catherine started on guitar in his teens, and by seventeen he was performing professionally at local venues.
He released his debut album, Steam, in 1970. During the next few years, he studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and with Mick Goodrick and George Russell. In 1976, he and guitarist Larry Coryell recorded and toured as an acoustic duo. The following year he recorded with Charles Mingus, who dubbed him "Young Django". In the early 1980s, he toured briefly with Benny Goodman. He was in trio with Didier Lockwood and Christian Escoudé, then in a trio with Chet Baker. During the 1990s, he recorded three albums with trumpeter Tom Harrell.
Catherine has also worked with Lou Bennett, Kenny Drew, Dexter Gordon, Stéphane Grappelli, Karin Krog, Paul Kuhn, Sylvain Luc, Michael Mantler, Charlie Mariano, Palle Mikkelborg, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Enrico Rava, Toots Thielemans, and Miroslav Vitous.

Hit is a 2003 compilation album of songs by British musician Peter Gabriel. It reached No. 29 in the UK album charts and No. 100 in the US. Disc one is labelled Hit and disc two Miss, reflecting the first disc's containing several of Gabriel's biggest-selling singles.

If you lived in Italy or been exposed to people who have, you may have heard Peppino's songs. He is a part of the writing of those songs in this CD, all 14 of them. If you know the language you will be moved by the lyrics and if you don't you'll feel them through the melodic, gentle music attached. He's a romantic through and through and contagious. The music and lyrics will touch your heart no matter your age or gender.

This is one of many compilations drawn from Paul Robeson's 1930s recordings for the British EMI label. Despite being referred to in the skimpy, often inaccurate liner notes as a "selection of his greatest performances," it mixes some of his best -- including "Ol' Man River" -- with the sometimes second-rate material he was given to record. Still, with 20 tracks and a running time near 58 minutes, it is an adequate collection if purchased for a discount price. Don't spring for it as a high-priced import, however; there are better domestic collections and better imports.
