The title 21 at 33 was chosen as it was John's 21st album release overall and came out when he was 33 years old. Upon release, the album was a moderate success, reaching the top 20 on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart and proving far more successful than his previous effort Victim of Love (1979). The record's lead single, "Little Jeannie", peaked at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, while it stalled at number 33 on the UK singles chart. Critical reception was relatively warm, although some criticized the record as inconsistent and lacking cohesion. To promote the album, John embarked on a tour of North America and Oceania, including a free concert in Central Park. 21 at 33 has since been certified Gold by the RIAA for US sales in excess of 500,000 copies.

The title track of the album was moderately successful as a single, reaching No. 31 on the US Billboard Hot 100, No. 38 in Australia and No. 46 in Canada. It also peaked at No. 11 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary chart. In addition, all the tracks on the album reached No. 55 on the US Billboard Disco Top 100 chart.

Apart from an appearance on the Australian television series Countdown (he was also a comedy regular on the show during the 1980s), John did little marketing for Victim of Love. He did not tour to promote the album.

Die Erstveröffentlichung von A Single Man erfolgte am 10. Oktober 1978 bei The Rocket Record Company. Auf dem nordamerikanischen Markt erschien das Album im gleichen Jahr bei MCA Records (Katalognummer: MCA-3065). Das Album erschien in seiner Originalausführung als LP mit elf Titeln. 1988 erschien es erstmals als CD-Ausführung (Katalognummer: Rocket 826 805-2). Am 1. 21 at 33, released May 1980, is an album by Elton John. It is his fourteenth studio album. Including other releases (three compilation albums, two live albums, one film soundtrack and one EP) it is the 21st official release, and was released when Elton John was 33 years old; hence the title.
It was recorded at Super Bear Studios, Nice, France, in August 1979, and Rumbo Recorders and Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, California between January to March 1980.
The album sold over 900,000 copies in the United States, narrowly missing a Platinum certification.

Blue Moves is the eleventh studio album by British musician Elton John. It was released on 22 October 1976 through John's own Rocket Record Company (his first for the label), alongside MCA Records in certain countries. John's second double album, it was recorded at EMI Studios, Brother Studios, Eastern Sound and Sunset Sound Recorders, and was his last to be produced by longtime collaborator Gus Dudgeon until Ice on Fire (1985). Additionally, the album would be the last collaboration between John and lyricist Bernie Taupin for the next few years[a] until a partial resumption of their working partnership with 21 at 33 (1980).

Blue Moves (dt.: Blaue Bewegungen) ist das elfte Studioalbum des britischen Sängers und Komponisten Elton John.

Für das Cover wählte John ein erst kurz zuvor für seine eigene Sammlung erworbenes Bild, das der irische Künstler Patrick Procktor gemalt hatte und der es „The Guardian Readers“ nannte. Geplant war, zur Unterstützung des anlaufenden Verkaufs fünfzig Kopien der Langspielplatte der britischen Boulevardzeitung Sun zur Verfügung zu stellen. Diese sollte im Rahmen eines Leserrätsels die Schallplatten an die Gewinner verteilen. Kurz vor Umsetzung dieser Absicht wies die Sun in einem Artikel in Anspielung auf Johns damals noch verheimlichte Homosexualität darauf hin, dass auf dem Bild ausschließlich junge Männer und keine Frauen abgebildet seien. Verärgert nahm John daraufhin von dem Vorhaben Abstand.

The song was first released as a digital download in various territories on 10 April 2004 before its physical UK release two days later. "Don't Leave Home" peaked at number 25 on the UK Singles Chart and charted for nine weeks. Girl Who Got Away ist das vierte Studioalbum der britischen Sängerin Dido.

Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres dritten Studioalbums Safe Trip Home beabsichtigte Dido schnell ein neues Album herauszubringen. Sie nahm einige Lieder in Studios in London und Los Angeles auf. Nebenbei produzierte sie noch zwei Lieder für die Soundtracks von Sex and the City 2 und 127 Hours. Letzterer erhielt dabei sogar eine Oscar-Nominierung. Nachdem sie Ende 2010 schwanger wurde, unterbrach sie jedoch die Arbeiten am Album um sich auf die Familie zu konzentrieren. 2012 entschied sie sich schließlich zusammen mit ihrem Bruder und Produzenten Rollo Armstrong das Album abzuschließen.
