"Hi! Welcome to a celebration of trance. Anyone who's listened to my Dance Anthems Radio 1 show or attended my gigs over the past ten years will know how big a part trance music has played in my life. I suppose the year this music really hooked me and took over my world was 1998, I was doing the Drivetime show on Radio 1 alongside Dance Anthems and took the plunge to start a weekly DJ residency at Eden in Ibiza on Saturday nights after being approached by Dan Prince (who had the idea and did a fantastic job promoting it!). At the same time this incredible music was emerging from Holland and Belgium. Almost every week there would be at least 2 or 3 tracks arriving that were just awesome and countless others that would rock any club, I couldn't wait for the postmen to arrive because I knew that there was always going to be new tracks to take my breath away. I still remember the first time I heard System F - Out Of The Blue, CRW - I Feel Love, Dirt Devils - The Drill, Delerium - Silence etc and i couldn't wait to play them on my radio show. Before long I was getting tracks from all the top up and coming trance producers in the world and I had a daily mix in my Drivetime show "The Mix At Six" which then became "the mix selector" which enabled me to play these tracks to millions of people at peak time on national radio..."
