A box set like this is something I'd been wanting for some time, as I'd never owned all of the Project's work, so it was quite exciting when this was announced some months back. The Alan Parsons Project is one of those bands that charted - and charted numerous times - back in the late 70s and the 80s, but here in the States their music today seems all but forgotten except by those in the know. This is an absorbing, fascinating progression of albums, and I spent much of yesterday and last night sifting through it. If I had to pick the high points I'd choose "I Robot," "Ammonia Avenue," and "Pyramid." Of course, there isn't really a bad album in the bunch.

On Air is the second solo album by English rock musician Alan Parsons. The album's chief creative force was the Alan Parsons Project's long-time guitarist, Ian Bairnson. Its concept revolves around the history of airborne exploration.
Musically, this album is somewhat different from Try Anything Once and the Alan Parsons Project albums, opting for more of a soft rock sound and a more stable band line-up rather than the funky rhythms, symphonic flares, or rotating vocalists of the past.

A Valid Path is the fourth solo album by English rock musician Alan Parsons. The record was released on 24 August 2004 via Artemis label.

Try Anything Once is the first solo album created by Alan Parsons following the split of The Alan Parsons Project.
This album features vocals by Ambrosia's David Pack, Duran Duran backing singer Jacqui Copland, Former Mindbender and 10cc guitarist Eric Stewart, and Manfred Mann's Earth Band frontman Chris Thompson.
The album takes a different turn from the previously ethereal Project albums, and seems to continue the directional development that started with Stereotomy and Gaudi, combining rock elements ("Back Against The Wall" & "Breakaway") and mood-oriented beats ("Turn It Up" & "I'm Talking To You"), while still retaining certain elements of the classic Project albums that are unique ("Mr Time", "Wine From The Water", the instrumentals).

This was the final Alan Parsons Project studio album. During the writing of what would have been the followup, Eric Woolfson turned the album into the rock opera eventually released as Freudiana in 1990. Alan Parsons continued as a solo artist in 1993 with Try Anything Once, an album which completes the musical evolution that started with this album.
