По сведениям из некоторых источников, именно с этого творения DCD началась история стиля ethereal. Музыка на этом альбоме атмосферна настолько, насколько это вообще возможно. Но, в отличие от, например, электронно-шумовой атмосферы эмбиента, здесь мы имеем полностью живую музыку. Используется куча духовых, струнных и еще черт-знает-каких инструментов, большая роль отводится ритм-секции. Вокал присутствует мужской и женский. Женский местами по-восточному изматывающий, а местами истерично-капризен, что-ли (отдаленно напоминает Sopor Aeternus-овский). Мужской голос также очень красив и оригинален (по крайней мере, я такого не встречал раньше ни в одном готическом проекте). Особенно хочется отметить композицию Avatar: доминирующий в начале бас ближе к концу уступает роль волшебно-космическим клавишам,

Au gré des rencontres, c’est à un véritable tour du monde musical que nous convie.

Bridge over Troubled Water is the fifth and final studio album by American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel, released in January 1970 on Columbia Records. Following the duo's soundtrack for The Graduate, Art Garfunkel took an acting role in the film Catch-22, while Paul Simon worked on the songs, writing all tracks except Felice and Boudleaux Bryant's "Bye Bye Love" (previously a hit for the Everly Brothers).

"The Last Farewell" is a song from 1971 by the British folk singer Roger Whittaker. Whittaker hosted a radio programme in The United Kingdom in 1971, backed by a full orchestra with arrangements by Zack Lawrence. Whittaker is quoted as saying that "one of the ideas I had was to invite listeners to send their poems or lyrics to me and I would make songs out of them. We got a million replies, and I did one each week for 26 weeks."

Pentangle (or The Pentangle) are a British folk-jazz band with an eclectic mix of folk, jazz, blues and folk rock influences. The original band was active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and a later version has been active since the early 1980s. The original line-up, which was unchanged throughout the band's first incarnation (1967–1973), was: Jacqui McShee, vocals; John Renbourn, vocals and guitar; Bert Jansch, vocals and guitar; Danny Thompson, double bass; and Terry Cox, drums.
The name Pentangle was chosen to represent the five members of the band, and is also the device on Sir Gawain's shield in the Middle English poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight which held a fascination for Renbourn.
In 2007, the original members of the band were reunited to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and to record a short concert that was broadcast on BBC radio. In June 2008, the band, comprising all five original members, embarked on a twelve-date UK tour.

K is the debut album by Kula Shaker, released on 16 September 1996. When it was released, it became the fastest selling debut album in Britain since Elastica's debut the previous year. The album reached the #1 position in the UK charts, however in America it stalled at #200 in the Billboard charts.

Released in 2008, Stories from the Safe House is the debut album from former the Hoax and Heez Bus frontman Hugh Coltman. Often compared to fellow troubadour Ray LaMontagne, the British singer/songwriter wrote and produced its 11 tracks, which combine acoustic soul, blues, and folk. Recorded in his adopted city of Paris, the Leonard Cohen/Stevie Wonder-influenced LP includes the singles "Could You Be Trusted" and "Sixteen."

Tales and Songs from Weddings and Funerals is a solo album by Goran Bregović, a famous Balkan composer widely popular for making music for films.

Ultimate Dolly Parton is a compilation album by American country music artist Dolly Parton. It was released by RCA Records on June 3, 2003. The album peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Naked Willie is an album from American country music artist Willie Nelson. This album was released on March 17, 2009, on the Legacy Recordings label. The album include remixes of recordings from 1966–1970, stripped-down without orchestration or background vocals. The concept of the album is similar to the Beatles' Let It Be... Naked project released several years before Naked Willie. This album was released in some countries under the alternative title Stripped or Willie Stripped.

William Ruhlmann of AllMusic described the compilation as an "excellent sampler", adding: "The sequencing pays no attention to chronology, [but] despite this, Scott's impassioned singing holds things together better than might be expected, and the effect is not unlike a good Waterboys concert." The 2000 book The Mojo Collection: The Ultimate Music Companion described the album as a "useful compilation" which "also rounds up some of Scott's stripped-down solo work".
