Promise est le deuxième album studio de Sade, sorti le 4 novembre 1985 chez Epic Records.
L'enregistrement de l'album a commencé en février 1985 et a duré jusqu'en août la même année. Le groupe a coproduit l'album avec la même équipe de producteurs avec lesquels ils ont travaillé sur leur album précédent, Diamond Life, dont Robin Millar, Mike Pela et Ben Rogan. Le titre de l’album provient d’une lettre du père de Sade Adu où il évoque la « promesse d’espoir » de se remettre du cancer.

Nachdem das Debütalbum Diamond Life bereits auf Platz zwei der britischen Albumcharts kletterte, erreichte Promise – auch dank eines Auftritts bei Live Aid – in Großbritannien, der Schweiz und den USA Platz 1.
Als Singles wurden The Sweetest Taboo, Is It a Crime sowie Never as Good as the First Time ausgekoppelt.

Blizzard of Ozz – debiutancki solowy album Ozzy’ego Osbourne’a, wydany 20 września 1980 roku (zob. 1980 w muzyce). Jest to pierwszy solowy album Osbourne'a i jeden z dwóch studyjnych albumów przed śmiercią gitarzysty Randy’ego Rhoadsa w marcu 1982. Jako single z płyty zostały wydane utwory „Crazy Train” oraz „Mr. Crowley”.
W roku 2002 dokonano reedycji albumu, dodając utwór „You Lookin' At Me Lookin' At You” (w późniejszych wydaniach zmieniając nieco pisownię tytułu na „You Looking At Me, Looking At You”). W wyników sądowych sporów o tantiemy pomiędzy Osbourne'em a byłymi członkami jego zespołu oryginalne partie basu i perkusji zastąpiono nowymi ścieżkami nagranymi przez muzyków wówczas z nim współpracujących, Roberta Trujillo i Mike'a Bordina, co wywołało niezadowolenie fanów wokalisty. Podczas kolejnego rozszerzenia albumu w 2011 roku (dodano do listy utworów nowy miks piosenki „Goodbye To Romance” oraz 70-sekundowy fragment gry na gitarze w wykonaniu Rhoadsa) przywrócono płycie pierwotne brzmienie sekcji rytmicznej.

Lovers Rock is the fifth studio album by English band Sade, released on 13 November 2000 by Epic Records. The album was titled after a style of reggae music known as lovers rock, noted for its romantic sound and content, which frontwoman Sade Adu listened to in her youth. Lovers Rock was seen as a departure from the band's previous use of jazz elements, opting instead for a wider use of musical elements from soul music, R&B, soft rock, folk music, dub, reggae, neo soul and lovers rock. The album's production has been characterised as spare, with simple arrangements and reggae flourishes. A concept album, the lyrics focus on both the positive and the negative sides of love; the album's lyrical content also touches upon political themes.

Lovers Live is the first live album and third video album by English band Sade, released on 5 February 2002 by Epic Records. It was recorded at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California, on 20 September 2001 and at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California, on 21 September as part of the band's Lovers Rock Tour. The CD contains 13 tracks, while the DVD contains 22 tracks as well as special features. The live version of the track "Somebody Already Broke My Heart" was released as a single from the album.

With the Lights Out is a box set by the American rock band Nirvana released in November 2004. It contains three CDs and one DVD of previously rare or unreleased material, including B-sides, demos, and rehearsal and live recordings. The title comes from the lyrics from Nirvana's 1991 single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
As of 2016, With the Lights Out has sold 546,000 copies in the US alone.

Il s'agit du quatrième album du groupe publié après sa séparation à la suite de la mort de son leader Kurt Cobain en 1994. Il contient 19 chansons tirées du coffret With the Lights Out de 2004 ainsi que trois enregistrements inédits : une version de Spank Thru tirée d'une Démo de Fecal Matter de 1985, une version studio de Sappy datant de 1990 et un enregistrement sur radio-cassette de Come as You Are. La version de Spank Thru présente sur la compilation a une signification importante pour le groupe, puisqu'il semble que ce soit cet enregistrement qui a convaincu le bassiste Krist Novoselic de former un groupe avec Cobain.

Nevermind is the second studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991, by DGC Records. It was Nirvana's first release on a major label and the first to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind features a more polished, radio-friendly sound than the band's prior work. Recording took place at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, and Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin in May and June 1991, with mastering being completed in August of that year at The Mastering Lab in Hollywood, California.

MTV Unplugged in New York is a live album by American rock band Nirvana, released on November 1, 1994, by DGC Records. It features an acoustic performance recorded at Sony Music Studios in New York City on November 18, 1993, for the television series MTV Unplugged.
The show was directed by Beth McCarthy and aired on the cable television network MTV on December 16, 1993. In a break with MTV Unplugged tradition, Nirvana played mainly lesser-known material and covers of songs by the Vaselines, David Bowie, Lead Belly and Meat Puppets. Unlike prior MTV Unplugged performances, which were entirely acoustic, Nirvana used electric amplification and guitar effects during the set. They were joined by rhythm guitarist Pat Smear and cellist Lori Goldston, plus members of Meat Puppets for some songs.
