Some Time in New York City is the fourth collaborative studio album, and second live album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono as Plastic Ono Band. A double album, it includes backing by the American rock band Elephant's Memory. Released in June 1972 in the US and in September 1972 in the UK on Apple Records, it is Lennon's sixth album to be released under his own name, and his fourth collaboration with Ono. Like Lennon's previous solo albums, it was co-produced by Lennon, Ono and Phil Spector. The album's agitprop lyrics are politically charged compared to its predecessors, addressing political and social issues and topics such as sexism, incarceration, colonialism, and racism.

Double Fantasy is the fifth collaborative studio album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and the final one before Lennon's death. Released in November 1980 on Geffen Records, the album marked Lennon's return to recording music full-time, following his five-year hiatus to raise his son Sean. Recording sessions took place at the Hit Factory in New York City between August and October 1980. The final album features songs from both Lennon and Ono, largely alternating between the two in its track listing. Other tracks recorded by Lennon from the sessions were compiled by Ono for release on Milk and Honey in 1984.

Mind Games is the third solo studio album by the English musician John Lennon. It was recorded at Record Plant Studios in New York in summer 1973. The album was released in the US on 29 October 1973 and in the UK on 16 November 1973. It was Lennon's first self-produced recording without help from Phil Spector. Like his previous album, the politically topical and somewhat abrasive Some Time in New York City, Mind Games received mixed reviews upon release. It reached number 13 in the UK and number 9 in the US, where it was certified gold in both territories.

The John Lennon Signature Box is an 11-disc boxed set of remastered John Lennon albums and new collections, released on CD and digital format, as part of the "Gimme Some Truth" collection. The albums released in the boxed set are digital remasters of the original recordings and mixes, done by John's widow Yoko Ono and the same team of engineers at Abbey Road Studios who worked on the 2009 remasters by the Beatles, in London and Avatar Studios, New York. The set also includes home demos and non-album singles. The boxed set was released on vinyl in June 2015 by Universal Music Catalogue without the two additional discs.

Shaved Fish is a compilation album by John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band, issued in October 1975 on Apple Records. It contains all of the singles that he had issued up to that point in the United States as a solo artist, with the exception of "Stand by Me", which had been released earlier that year. The only compilation of Lennon's non-Beatles recordings released during his lifetime, the album peaked at number 8 in the UK and number 12 in the US. It was also Lennon's final album released on Apple Records.

Но, признаться, настолько кардинальной смены стиля я не ожидал. Тут не то что от «Dictius Te Necare», даже и от «S.U.I.Z.I.D» почти ничего не осталось. Полноценным металом это не назовешь, но, конечно, это и никакой не «dark industrial» тоже. Так, в основе своей, довольно спокойная рок-музыка с на редкость чувственным и на удивление профессиональным чистым вокалом. С товарищем за микрофонной стойкой Юрген Бартч определенно попал в десятку, так как более подходящего певца (именно певца!)о ожидать от Bethlehem банального эмоционального рока, которым нас во всю пичкает Anathema на последних альбомах? Да нет же! Помимо него здесь присутствует настоящий винегрет из жанров. Тут, на протяжении сорока семи минут звучания альбома , вы услышите и раммштайноподобный метал-индастриал, и дум-металические кусочки, и слабые намеки на творчество недалекого «темного» прошлого в песне «Maschinensohn», и даже чуть ли не панк-рок, нойз и трип-хоп. Ну, как мы знаем, во времена выпуска этого диска в экспериментаторство и облегчение саунда ударились почти все именитые банды.

Как скриминг, так и общее звучание стало чуть менее сухим, чем на первом альбоме коллектива, но мощи немного не хватает. Возможно, к лучшему, иначе напрашивалось бы сравнение с Mourning Beloveth, которых группа почти превзошла этой работой. В музыке стали проглядываться Cynic и, может быть, элементы "Атеиста", оставаясь лишь вдохновителями, но не объектами для копирования. Небольшой фрагмент в "Crimson Black Bleeding" напоминает также и об In the Woods, но не вызывает такого же крышесносного эффекта как музыка этих норвежцев.В итоге у группы получился сравнительно оригинальный альбом, содержащий примерно в равных дозах death, progressive и doom metal, к счастью, совершенно не похожий на Opeth, как можно было предположить по наличию этих стилей. И хотя эта работа во многом отличается от предшественника, можно сказать, что у De Profundis есть собственное звучание.

Близкое общение музыкантов Clawfinger с безбашенными экстремальщиками Meshuggah, которые держат с ними общую студию, не могло не сказаться на творчестве заслуженного рэп-металлического коллектива. А переход на лейбл Nuclear Blast, обычно работающий с гораздо более тяжелыми командами, только усугубил ситуацию, так что в новых песнях Clawfinger рэп как таковой встречается крайне редко. По сути, шведы теперь играют металлизированный хардкор, временами (например, в заглавном треке) доходящий чуть ли не до интенсивности и напора S.O.D., а порой (в композиции “The Best And The Worst”) обретающий почти балладную лиричность.

Восьмидесятые годы – это несомненно буйные, дикие, а также ещё и тёмные годы, когда группы могли стремительно возвыситься ввысь буквально посредством одной пластинки, и также стремительно сгинуть в пучине тех веков, не оставив даже названия или другой информации о себе. Сейчас вряд ли такое может случиться, судя по обширному росту рождаемости новых групп. Итак, английская команда Демон – это ветеран новой волны британского хэви металла. Однако большой популярности группа эта не получила, знаю по своему опыту - начинаешь слушать металл и сразу выскакивают Мэйдены, Присты, Аксепт и Элис Купер. Группа как можно было заметить с года этого альбома, довольно-таки старенькая. Исполняет она, несмотря на такое яркое мистическое название, самый простой и обыкновенский хард-н-хэви, нечто наподобие ранних Pretty Maids или Twisted Sister.
