For the last three months, the now revitalised GU team have been scouring the globe for the very finest club tracks to compile and mix for this new series, which they’ve since spliced, edited, re-edited and polished into two slick continuous mixes. The mixes feature tracks from the full gamut of house and techno from heavyweights including Jonas Rathsman, Roman Flügel, Bicep, Dusky and Maceo Plex.

It's rare that an instrumental artist can be almost as easily identified by his album artwork as by his powerful musical stylings, but it's hard to resist all those romantic, impressionistic paintings that are part of every CD package by veteran nuevo flamenco guitarist Armik. The vibrant, ultra-melodic, and rhythmically diverse tracks on Mar de Suenos are full of his trademark candlelight, slow dancing, brass, percussion, and speedy riffs as always -- and combine to create a sweet and inspiring travelogue. There's nothing blue about "Azul," the sizzling, plucky horn-drenched opening track that bursts out of the gate like a highly caffeinated mariachi band.

Spanish Thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA are preparing for their upcoming 5th studio album, "Hidden Evolution", to be released on January 19th, 2015 via Century Media Records.
After having recently announced a massive European tour together with Suicidal Angels and new labelmates Dr. Living Dead! in February/March 2015 as well as some special Spanish shows in January to promote the release, ANGELUS APATRIDA are now revealing the album's artwork (See above!) as well as a first album teaser video featuring various song-samples from the album.

Armik has driven deep into his quest to create first rate Nuevo Flamenco music with this ambitious 11 track recording titled ENAMOR. As his 28th release on Bolero Records, it is an exceptional example of the art of Armik both as a guitar virtuoso and as a composer. Throughout this recording he retains a Spanish Guitar sensibility in his precise touch while his compositions yield refined, romantic chords that leave you breathless and obsessed with his award-winning arrangements. There is a rare delicacy to Armik's illuminous Enamor. His sensitive rhythms, prolific strumming and graceful, romantic tones allow you to revel in his artistry and remarkable talents as a guitarist and composer. ENAMOR is a beautiful recording on which Armik demonstrates a completely original sound that is sophisticated yet creative. He makes each note count while playing with his delicate touch and makes sure that you emerge with a greater appreciation of his musicality and all that is heard in the fine art of Nuevo Flamenco.

Trombonist Michael Dease is never short on ideas, but this one might be his best yet: With All These Hands, Dease traces the early migratory patterns of jazz through his own well-crafted originals. He starts in NOLA and moves along to many a music mecca, including the Mississippi Delta, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and New York. All the while he addresses regional dialects that developed as jazz permeated different regions while remaining cognizant of the need to avoid the quicksand of the past. This is Dease's take on jazz's journey, not his attempt at making a period piece.
